Winter Holiday newsletter

Dear parents and carers

We hope you’re all looking forward to the holiday season. We’d like to take a look back at the last term, as well as ahead to the year to come.

Short Breaks

This term has seen the Isobel Centre put to great use, with Early Years Music, Cookery Club and the Thursday playgroup being very well received. Thank you to everyone who gave us feedback, it’s really helped to show how our new centre is being enjoyed by families. Our Saturday swimming club remains popular as ever and we also booked out the entirety of the Colour House Theatre for our annual pantomime trip.

Next term will see a new term of swimming starting in February, as well as the return of the playgroup, Baby Music and Cookery Club. Please keep an eyes on your emails for further information on these, as well as all of our other upcoming trips and activities, in the New Year.

The Team

This term we introduced Sabrina Djazoul, our new Head of Service, to the team. She has hit the ground running and we’re all looking forward to what she will bring to the team in the future.

Sadly, the team say farewell to Katie Jillians at the end of this term. For the last 11 years, Katie has worked in partnership with many families, providing invaluable support and advice on the all-round development of their children, particularly in the Early Years. Katie has also made a significant contribution to the Auditory Implant Service at St. George’s Hospital. In fact, her new role is at RNTNE, working on their cochlear implant programme. Katie will be greatly missed by all and I’m sure you’ll want to join us in wishing her every success.

Holiday arrangements

The office will be closed over the holiday break, so calls and email sent during this time will not be picked up until Monday 7th January. If you need to speak to someone before then, please text or leave a voicemail for Sabrina on 07921 694 156.

We hope you all enjoy the next two weeks, and we look forward to seeing you all again in January.

From all of us here at Wandsworth Sensory Support Service, Merry Christmas, happy holidays and have a wonderful New Year!
