Who We Are and What We Offer

Our dedicated team offer education, support and care to sensory impaired young people, and their families, from London and the south east.

We are recognised national and internationally as leaders in our field, highly trained and uniquely skilled. Our personalised approach, developed over many years, allows young people to flourish and their families to feel understood and supported.

Wandsworth Sensory Support Services (WSS) comprises Linden Lodge School, Wandsworth Hearing Support and Wandsworth Vision Support Services. Our combined team of nearly 250 dedicated and committed staff provide education, care and support to almost 1,000  children and young people from birth to 25 years of age. The largest and most diverse team of professionals working in the field of sensory impairment in the south east, we are recognised nationally and internationally for our work.

We are skilled in caring for deaf, visually impaired and deafblind children, as well as those with complex needs. And we are here for families too. We offer direct support with extensive home visiting services, emotional support and parent guidance, after school clubs and holiday plays schemes, and parent education programmes

Thanks to advances in science it is now easier to diagnose sensory impairment in the early days of life. This means that, with the right equipment and support, provided at the right time, children can be set on life-changing paths. We are here to do that.

Families also need professional support that is both informed and sympathetic, helping them to understand their child’s needs and the information and services available. Wandsworth Sensory Support Services offer this, and more.
